Our timeline is forever changing. We continue to meet a few times a month and are moving right along in our progress to the finish line! This timeline will be updated as needed.
- January 2019 – December 2021 – Planning, form a committee, obtain approval from Township, start fundraising, request donations from businesses within the community, and research grants.
- July 2021 – Apply for 501(c)(3) Non-Profit (APPROVED DECEMBER 2, 2021)
- January 2022 – August 2022 – finalize park and playground conceptual plans; hire or coordinate with play equipment company an Inclusive Designer to design playground; obtain construction cost estimate on playground development; develop a maintenance budget and establish an escrow account for requirements or other improvements.
Please note our project took a u-turn in February 2022 as we were forced to re-evaluate our plans and make big decisions on which directions we should take.
- September 2022 – March 2023 – The Adventure Grove board of directors met with West Pottsgrove & Lower Pottsgrove and were able to secure two land locations for two new playgrounds.
- April 2023 – December 2023 – finalize park and playground conceptual plans; hire or coordinate with play equipment company an Inclusive Designer to design playground; obtain construction cost estimate on playground development; develop a maintenance budget and establish an escrow account for requirements or other improvements.
- January 2024 – April 2024 – Apply for grant funds to develop construction plans, obtain permits and finalize construction cost estimate for entire park.
- May 2024 – March 2024 – Finalize all engineering plans and permits.
April 2024 – December 2024 – Apply for funding to construct park and playgrounds.
January 2025 – March 2025 – Develop Bid Documents for contractors to submit bids to construct park and playgrounds.
April 2025 – January 2026 – Construction of park and playgrounds.
March 2026 – Grand Opening for PLAYTIME!!!
